From Connecticut, Westchester and Points North of New York City
Take I-95 to exit 14 (Hutchinson River Parkway South). From the Hutchinson River Parkway, take exit 5 (City Island / Orchard Beach). At the traffic circle, take the first exit, onto Shore Road. Take Shore Road south about 1/2 mile and make a left at the light onto City Island Road. Follow local directions below.
From New Jersey
Take the George Washington Bridge, to the Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95 North). Take exit 8B (City Island / Orchard Beach) onto Shore Road. Follow Shore Road north about 1.5 miles. Make a right onto City Island Road immediately after the Hutchinson River Bridge. Follow local directions below.
From Long Island, Queens, and Brooklyn
Take the Throggs Neck or Whitestone Bridge to I-95 North North. Take exit 8B (City Island / Orchard Beach) onto Shore Road. Follow Shore Road north about 1.5 miles. Make a right onto City Island Road immediately after the Hutchinson River Bridge. Follow local directions below.
From Manhattan
Take the FDR Drive to the Triborough Bridge to The Bronx. Bear right onto the Bruckner Expressway (I-278 North) to I-95 North. Take exit 8B (City Island / Orchard Beach) onto Shore Road. Follow Shore Road north about 1.5. Make a right onto City Island Road immediately after the Hutchinson River Bridge. Follow local directions below.
Local directions
Take City Island Road east approx 1/2 mile to a traffic circle. Take the second exit from the circle (continuing on City Island Road east). Once you are over the City Island Bridge, bear right onto City Island Avenue and continue to the second traffic light (Sunoco station). Turn right onto Ditmars Street. Turn right again at the next corner onto Hunter Avenue. The Harlem Yacht Club is at the end of the street on the left (417 Hunter Avenue).
Please respect our neighbors by not parking in front of the houses on Hunter Avenue. Park in the club parking lot, or in our overflow lot directly across Hunter Avenue, or in the dead end portion of the street where there are no houses.
