Wind and Tide Forecasts

In consulting these forecasts keep in mind that, at best, wind and tide prediction is a chancy business. The field measurements and data collection forecasters rely upon are subject to observation errors, typographical errors, and programming errors, to name but a few. These several sources combine to produce what are, at times, rather large levels of predictive uncertainty. The prudent mariner does not rely solely on a single predictive source when life and property are at stake.
