As Commodore Frank Cavacini noted in an e-mail to members, Harlem Yacht Club members will have to register again to access the new site’s members-only areas. Your old HYC username and password will no longer work.
The good news is that the registration process is much easier and more responsive than the old one:
Click on the "Members" option to the right of the main menu;
Select "Sign Up" (in the "New to this site?" line, just under "Log In");
Fill in your name, e-mail address, member status, and member number;
Set your new password (be sure to make a note of it), and
Click the "Sign Up" button.
Someone (probably Roy Smith or Doug McCormick) will verify that you're a member, activate your access, and send you a quick e-mail to let you know you’re in.
The Members-Only area is very basic right now. Signing in gives you access to the HYC document database (meeting minutes, bylaws, rules and guidelines, forms, and the like). Your reach these pages by clicking on the circular Member icon at the right of the menu bar; a drop-down menu will guide you to the available resources.
