Ahoy all. Since the July 11 Club Rendezvous in Oyster Bay, ILENE has been on the move. Some Harlemites are interested in how we cruise. Well first we cruise with our 18 and 15 year old kittens, Alphie, the calico and Cruiser. We have not made long passages this year, as in the past when we got up to Maine and Canada. 'loulou' Takes J/105 East Coast Championship
Once again, Paul Beaudin and loulou have triumphed. This time, they won the five-race J/105 East Coast Championships, part of the 2026 80th Red Grant Regatta run July 11-12 by the Raritan Yacht Club (Perth Amboy, NJ). HYC boats will rendezvous in Oyster Bay on Saturday, July 11 to Sunday, July 12. Skippers can sail their own boats. Other members can hitch a boat-ride or come overland by car to Oyster Bay. To hitch a ride, reach out to a skipper you know. For example, a new social member is sailing with Fleet Captain Roger Karlebach on the boat ILENE, and he and the human Ilene have room for one more.
