Memorial Day Sentiments from our Commodore

Updated: May 26, 2020

Happy Memorial Day Everyone,

Our Marine Committee through rain and shine has been launching boats plus members from outlying yards are returning. The fleet is building up and the season, though modified, is moving forward. Enjoy the day, whether on the water or in the backyard.

Couldn’t resist, had to include these beautiful words with our flag.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

We remember, we honor, our Brave.

Respectfully

FAC

Frank A. Cavacini Jr. Commodore
